SHHHHHH Jalisa has a secret

Everyone has those secret obsessions they like. For example, ever walk-in on your boyfriend and he's jamming to Beyonce, or that social butterfly truly enjoys staying inside reading the latest Steven King novels. There are many things that we hold inside simply because it's ours and no one else's.  I myself secretly obsess about the marvelous and magnificent Kim Kardashian. If I see a cover of a magazine with Kardashian on it, I bound to purchase it! While many may call me crazy and foolish, I know that Ms. Kim K is a friend in my head.

It was great to find out that I am not the only one that has a secret celebrity obsession. Broadcast Journalism student, Jalisa Stanislaus, from New York has acquired a love for music sensation Rihanna.  Besides from her fashion and music impact she has made across the world, Jalisa has found a connection with Rihanna because they are both from Barbados. Over the past few years Rihanna has lost some of her fan base because of her transition from little Rihanna, singing Pon De Replay to her risky yet controversial song, S and M. Jalisa completely agrees with this transformation."She is more mainstream and her fan based has opened up to many different groups," Jalisa said. I asked Jalisa if she had a lunch date with Rihanna what were some of the things she would ask her? "What made her decide to be a singer? What is it like to be famous? How is the transition?" There was also one question that lingered in the air, yet it wouldn't be asked, What ACTUALLY happened in the car with Chris Brown? I guess we will never know...

Stars selling their Voice!

While watching TV do you every catch yourself saying,"Who's voice is that?" Many celebrities and stars are becoming voice-over artist. Besides from the red carpet events, parties, and big screen , these actors have found a new avenue to add to their resume.

Take Regina King, starting out as Brenda Jenkins on the hit television show "227," now has two leading voices, Huey and Riley on the controversial cartoon, The Boondocks. With many Hit shows such as, Southland, King makes well over $400,000 per episode for the Boondocks.

Can you guess which voice actress, Sanaa Lathan is? Known for many roles such as, Monica Wright in the hit movie Love and Basketball, Lathan has made her mark on the Hollywood scene. Yet over the past two years Lathan has become the voice of, the sassy, Donna Tubbs on the new television series 'The Cleveland Show.' Here are two clips of some of Lathan's work on The Cleveland Show.

King and Lathan are not the only Hollywood stars that have made a switch to the voice-over world. Stars such as:
  • Chris Rock has also made the transition to voice-overs. This Comedian has made over 3 million dollars just as his voice of Marty on the Blockbuster movies, Madagascar 1, and Madagascar 2.
  • Eddie Murphy is another Comedian who has made his mark in the voice over world with being the Voice of Donkey in the Shrek series.

These were just a few celebrities who are now characters that children, and even adults love. Let's see how many celebrities you can point out during the ending credits of your favorite movies or cartoons.
